The Little Fat Birdie (LFB) App is a mobile application for website owners and LFB clients to monitor website performance, view resources, and access support.

Apple App Store guidelines require apps to disclose clearly:

  • What data is collected (if any)

  • How that data is collected and used

  • Whether third-party services are involved

  • How users can request access or deletion of their data

This Privacy Policy fulfils those requirements and applies only to the Little Fat Birdie mobile application (“the App”). It does not apply to the Little Fat Birdie website or services accessed via a web browser.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 User-Provided Information

The App does not automatically collect personal information.

We collect personal information only if you voluntarily provide it, such as when submitting a contact or support form within the App. This may include:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Message or support request content

This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry or provide support.

1.2 Website Information

The App is used to monitor website health. When you connect a website, you provide a website URL or domain.

The App processes website-related technical data, including:

  • Uptime and availability

  • Response time and performance metrics

  • SSL certificate status

  • Security headers and DNS resolution

This data:

  • Relates to website infrastructure, not individuals

  • Does not identify you personally

  • Is used only to display monitoring results within the App

1.3 Technical and Diagnostic Data

To ensure stability and reliability, the App uses Firebase (by Google) for crash reporting and diagnostics.

Firebase may automatically collect limited, non-identifiable technical data, such as:

  • App version

  • Device model

  • Operating system version

  • Crash logs and error information

This data:

  • Does not include personal content

  • Is not linked to user identity

  • Is not used for advertising or tracking

  • Is used only to improve App performance and reliability

The App does not request access to location, contacts, photos, media, or similar device data.

1.4 Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect:

  • Login credentials or passwords

  • Device tokens

  • Payment information

  • Advertising identifiers

  • Tracking data across other apps or websites

  • User-generated content

2. Authentication and Credentials

When accessing secure areas (such as your Website Hub):

  • Authentication occurs entirely within Apple’s Safari browser

  • Login credentials are entered directly into Safari

  • The App does not collect, process, transmit, or store usernames or passwords

  • The App does not handle authentication secrets

This Privacy Policy applies only to the App.
Any data entered into Safari is governed by the Little Fat Birdie website privacy policy, not this App policy.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data only for the following purposes:

  • Providing Services:
    Responding to enquiries and support requests, and displaying website monitoring results inside the App.

  • Improving the App:
    Using diagnostic and crash data to identify issues, improve stability, and enhance performance.

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, or profiling.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses Firebase (Google) solely for:

  • Crash reporting

  • App diagnostics

We do not:

  • Use Firebase Authentication

  • Use Firebase for advertising

  • Share data with advertising networks

  • Share personal data with unrelated third parties

Any third-party service used provides protections consistent with this Privacy Policy.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data.

Information may be disclosed only:

  • Where required by law or legal process

  • To protect the security and lawful operation of the App

6. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Personal information submitted via contact or support forms is retained only as long as necessary to respond and provide support.

  • Diagnostic and crash data is retained according to Firebase’s default retention settings.

You may request deletion of any personal information you submitted at any time.

7. Tracking and Advertising

The App:

  • Does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies

  • Does not use advertising SDKs

  • Does not collect device tokens

  • Does not use App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information you submitted

  • Request correction or deletion of that information

Requests can be made using the contact details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If such information is identified, it will be deleted.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including:

  • HTTPS-only connections

  • Secure third-party infrastructure

  • Restricted access to support data

No system is completely secure, but we actively minimise risk.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.
Updates take effect when published in the App or App Store listing.
